Good salary, good colleagues.
People remained committed even when they were clearly stagnating in a deteriorating situation and working for management that distrusted their abilities.
No pay raises ever – get a good salary when you start.
Training was available theoretically, but due to work pressures, no one was ever allowed to do any.
No career path – no one ever got promoted. They relied on imported "stars" instead of investing time and energy in local, talented potential stars (not me, but others around me) to eventually replace them. They didn't seem to appreciate that even their stars were once learners.
Try making training available to your staff, which means also allowing them time to do the training.
Appreciate the fact that no one is born an expert; it takes management investment to make them.
Do more succession planning and allow people to grow into more senior positions.
Remote: first interview - HR, second - manager. Third - in-person: technical interview + manager. I was mostly asked about my experience without going into deep technical details. It was an overall positive experience.
Conducted three interviews: * HR * Manager * Team Leader All interviews were over the phone and quite informal. Cannot negotiate salary as they follow a very specific salary band. Not consistent with non-competition clause.
Project-related questions and CS fundamentals. Detailed questions on the tech stack used in various projects. Internship experience and further plans. Basic DSA questions based on math, bit manipulation, and linked lists.
