Senior management is disconnected and disinterested (despite the rhetoric).
Senior management engagement/communication with the workplace ranges from very poor to non-existent.
Highly skilled senior technical staff are underutilized and disenfranchised.
Senior management behavior directly results in a CYA culture amongst staff and junior/middle management.
Lip service is paid to yearly reviews, typically resulting in an eleventh-hour tick-box exercise.
