Oracle is trying to diversify. Its database is one of the best in the world.
From a corporate view, Oracle sounds like a fantastic place to work. It has server software, retail software, analytic software, etc.
Corporate bloat. Top-level management takes a very long time to make decisions on things like salary, promotions, bonuses, etc. Top-level management is too reactive on a quarter-to-quarter basis, so some things are canceled before they even have a chance to succeed.
Take off. Clearly the majority of Senior Management are yes-people. The majority of them will say yes to anything to please their superiors.
Far too many good people stay silent because they fear it'll reflect badly on them.
