Pros
  1. A lot of opportunities to learn TIP: Go and ask for new work that comes. No one is going to know that you are capable unless you tell them.
  2. Very chill people in the team
  3. Apply for internal switching to different projects, and it gives you a completely new environment and growth opportunities.
  4. Good pay initially (but salary is not increased very often)
Cons
  1. Personal growth and learning can be hindered by your manager, as they will expect you to work only on the things they assign, and sometimes this doesn't align with your growth.

  2. HR doesn't take action unless higher management gets involved.

  3. You have to buy your own food. No free food is available.

Advice to Management

See that lower-level managers are not creating too much pressure on the developers.

(All I asked for was one day's leave so that my eye condition would get better. I couldn't even see the screen without water coming from my eyes, and they were completely red and hurting really badly.

My manager wrote me a very diplomatic email to tell me not to think of taking a leave again, as it was impacting her work. My medical condition got worse because of her behavior and pressure to keep working, and eventually I resigned, as I will not work for a company that doesn't respect its employees and care about their health.)
