Forward Deployed Software Engineer Interview Experience
October 1, 2024
Neutral ExperienceNo Offer
Process
The process was relatively quick, but no feedback was given, making it obtuse.
Multiple rounds were conducted with different people, including a super difficult technical interview and a follow-up technical interview with an employee.
I completed the full technical interview in time but was not given an offer nor a reason for rejection.
Questions
Technical, Leetcode adjacent.
About looping through times and dates.

Great place to intern
Forward Deployed Software Engineer • Former Employee
New York, New York, United States
October 2, 2015
Pros: Learned a lot, had a more meaningful project than most interns at other companies that I know.
Met a lot of really smart people who I will be sure to keep in touch with.
Integrated quickly into my team.
Learned about new verticals.
Lots of cool benefits and events.
Cons: Worked hard and was exhausted at times. This wasn't a summer vacation.
Some internal documentation could have been better, making it easier to get up to speed on projects.

A great company to grow and learn
Forward Deployed Software Engineer • Current Employee
New York, New York, United States
November 3, 2020
Pros: People are very smart.
There is room to grow. It's not uncommon to see people who have been in the company for 1-2 years becoming Leads.
Huge responsibilities from day 1.
"Choose your own adventure" -> You can create your own growth path in the company if you see the need for it. For example, if you work on X product/customer but you see that there is a need to develop another product, you can start working on that without an issue (as long as you don't jeopardize your other role).
D&I is big here. You can get as involved as you want with this, and that's awesome!
Overall, this is an amazing company. I love it.
Cons: Too much autonomy at times. This is also a pro, but being independent and figuring out things on your own is not for everyone.
