Phone interviews were conducted with HR and a Software Engineer (SE).

The interview with the SE included a coding challenge in a shared environment. However, the Integrated Development Environment (IDE) proved to be problematic, featuring slow autocomplete (2-3 seconds to load), no debugger, and no option to write additional classes, such as test classes.

This was a major inconvenience, especially since the rejection reason was related to debugging capacity. It seems the SE may have overlooked that debugging with System.out.println in the main class is not ideal, and their chosen IDE prevented any alternative approaches.
