It started with a phone call with HR, who was very kind and helpful. The position was for a Senior Full Stack Developer, with a slight emphasis on front-end work. Although they mentioned it would be a 50/50 split, most of the questions leaned more toward the front end.
The first interview was conducted over Zoom and focused on technical questions with one of the team members. It was friendly and relatively straightforward. I was told multiple times that the second interview would focus on TypeScript and CSS, and to make sure I brushed up on those topics.
The second interview was also held over Zoom, but surprisingly, there were no TypeScript-related questions. It consisted of two parts:
Differences between var, let, and const
Difference between useState and useContext
Difference between useMemo and useCallback
CSS: difference between position absolute and fixed. And position relative - relative to whom?
Difference between REST API & GraphQL
When should I use a queue, and what's a dead-letter queue?
How to handle Lambda's cold starts
Difference between SQL and NoSQL
