Salary: Above average market rate. Wonderful coworkers: Super collaborative.
Management - Very manipulative.
Work-life balance - Extreme long hours and tons of random fire drills that will consume a healthy lifestyle.
I have given my heart and soul to this workplace and worked myself for long hours to death to help management achieve their goals. Management didn't recognize how much work it took with limited manpower, was always running blind at an unreasonably fast pace, and was careless about quality in production. They refused to open to suggestions, foster fair respect and harmony in the team, work on solving the problems, and improve the process as well as the team structure. In the end, I'm wounded and do not believe in the extreme profit-driven mentality of such an organization. This is the same feedback I will give on my exit review.
The interview process was split into three parts. The first was an informal coffee chat with the recruiter about your background and interest in the role. This was largely non-technical. The second was an hour-long interview with the hiring manager
Application I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Palo Alto Networks (Santa Clara, CA) in Aug 2025. Interview * 2 OAs: Codility and HireVue * Recruiter Screen: Behavioral Interview + Logistics * Onsite: 3 rounds of technica
First round with Hiring Manager. Technical questions regarding SRE topics. I was asked to describe the tools I work with and the projects I've worked on. Asked technical follow-up questions on these answers.
