The pre-screening was an OA (Online Assessment) with questions about OOP and SQL.
After that, the campus recruiter assigned to my university contacted me for a first-round interview with a software developer. It was 30 minutes long; the first half was behavioral, and the second half involved a LeetCode easy problem. I somewhat fumbled it, but the interviewer understood my method.
After the weekend, the recruiter called me for a small phone screening about the job position (compensation, dress code, etc.) with one small behavioral question. We then scheduled the final interview for the next week with a SWE (Software Engineer) Supervisor. This interview was also 30 minutes long, but it was mainly behavioral and technical questions about OOP, inheritance, abstract classes vs. interfaces, etc. There was no LeetCoding.
A month later, I was invited to the Tech Night, and one month after that, I reached a verbal agreement for the position.
Why Paycom? Why SWE? Why my major?
When to use abstract class vs. interface.
