I recently went through PayPal's interview process for an ML role, which typically consists of four rounds:
In my case, I had an additional round focused on a combination of Machine Learning and Coding, bringing the total to five interviews over the span of three weeks.
While the technical depth of the interviews was commendable and challenged my expertise, the experience post-interviews has left much to be desired. It's been a couple of weeks since my last round, and despite following up, I haven’t received any feedback or updates on the outcome. This lack of communication raises concerns about the level of professionalism and transparency within the hiring process.
Based on this experience, I would hesitate to apply to PayPal again, and I would advise others to be mindful of the potential communication gaps in their recruitment process.
I interviewed with PayPal Bengaluru.
The first two rounds cover SQL (intermediate), Python (basic DSA), and Machine Learning concepts in breadth.
The third round covers Machine Learning concepts in-depth. You can expect questions about loss functions, models, algorithms, and neural networks.
The fourth round is generally a business case study round of DS problems at PayPal.
