I was contacted by one of their recruiters after they found my resume on an online job portal. There was an online test. After clearing that, a face-to-face interview was scheduled. I arrived on time but had to wait for 40 minutes since no interviewer was available.
The interviewer seemed to have just woken up and was in a very bad mood. He asked me some generic questions and presented a problem, but didn't seem to listen to what I was saying at all. He then gave me a couple of common problems to solve using Java. He just stated generic requirements, such as "solve the N-Queens problem," instead of specifying them. I asked him about the particulars and any constraints, but he said to assume whatever I wanted. I wrote the programs, but he just glanced at them for a few seconds. He was mostly interested in what was on his laptop screen rather than my answers. After about an hour, he said he was done with the interviews and asked if I had any questions. I wanted to know about the work their team does, and it turns out it was simply calculating duties and taxes for various countries, depending on their rules and currency.
After that, I was told to wait in the reception. I had to wait for more than an hour, and then the HR representative came and said they would contact me later with feedback.
Overall, they wasted half of my day, and I certainly didn't expect this from such a reputed company.
