The onsite interviews consisted of 4 x 45-minute sessions. One session was with the manager.
The other three sessions were technical, covering average difficulty, typical interview questions found on interview sites or books. Questions focused on algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and Java-specific topics (as the role was for a Java position).
The interviewers were friendly and laid-back. I received the offer a few days after the onsite interviews, making the entire process quite quick.
The initial offer was decent and included a good signing bonus. I requested approximately a 10% increase in base salary from the initial offer and was granted it. In hindsight, when comparing with what others are earning in Silicon Valley, I should have also asked for more Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
Asked about algorithm, data structure, design patterns, and Java-related questions.
