A recruiter reached out to me via email, and we scheduled a call to discuss the role.
Fast forward a week; she rescheduled the call for the following week, claiming she was busy. The next week, she did the same thing again.
After three reschedulings, I was finally able to get her on a call. Even then, she called me after the scheduled time slot, spoke for about two minutes, and then mentioned she had to skip the call as she had another meeting.
And then the recruiter ghosted me.
This kind of behavior is unprofessional and discouraging—it shows a lack of respect for the candidate’s time and effort. Communication, even if it’s just to say the role isn’t moving forward, goes a long way in maintaining trust and a good candidate experience.
