Process

I received a call from the eBay-PayPal recruitment team. The interview was scheduled immediately after my confirmation. They invited me for an in-person interview.

I had a few rounds via video conferencing, which focused on my work and skillset.

The interviewers were not very polite or humble. They seemed more interested in showcasing their knowledge rather than understanding my explanations.

While assessing my Java skills and coding abilities, they asked for definitions from the collection framework and examples of their usage. I provided answers with examples from my current work.

I was not selected, and the feedback was shocking: that I am not good at coding and Java. I still don't understand how they concluded this from my interview, as I was not asked to write any Java code or solve any logical programming problems.

This was the worst interview I have ever faced in my six years of career, in terms of the interviewers' attitude and their knowledge. I hope they have better people in other teams.
