Three reorganizations in 12 months during Covid?

Cons
  • Too much top-down leadership. For instance, senior leaders define large initiatives with deadlines that just aren't realistic. Senior leaders also seem to have a lot of turf wars around ownership.

  • Too many reorganizations (and layoffs). Many teams have been through three or more reorganizations over the past 12 months. The head reorganizations result in job reductions and cause a significant amount of instability for employees' jobs.

  • Too many teams in San Jose are non-diverse. We have huge blocks of the organization that are only Indians. Why aren't there more minorities and non-Asians on these teams?

Advice to Management

Listen to the folks on the ground more. Be inclusive. Provide more stability so others don’t leave.
