Pros

Cool work culture, flexible timings, WFH options, a lot of extra benefits.

Cons

If unlucky, one may get stuck in some politics. The location is Chennai, which becomes a big factor in good people moving out of the company. Bangalore has started just now.

Advice to Management

The Chennai center had, and still has to some extent, a lot of politics going on. A good thing is that a lot of ownership is coming to India, and it is not just a delivery center now. Recent moves of good talent acquisition are very good, but hiring just freshers does not make much of an impact immediately. We should hire more and more talented architects who can understand PayPal's legacy system and still make a good impact.

We know the new President wants to bring a lot of change to keep the company's position intact and secure its future, but these moves are so aggressive that even good people are insecure about their jobs. No matter how well the company treats its employees or how good progress it is making, people will not be willing to stay if they are insecure about their job.
