Cons

They have a payments team in Bangalore, and a lot of their code is still in C++. They are hiring Java developers at a senior level and asking them to do support in C++.

There are a lot of production issues now and then, and every developer is asked to do support for one month in every four months.

During support, you have to be available 12 hours a day, from 10 am to 10 pm. As there are many issues/bugs, developers are busy looking over issues in their huge C++ codebase.

Also, development work is less, and most of the time goes into domain and production support.

People talk less about technology and more about domain.

Managers promote people who are gaining more and more domain knowledge and are more involved in support, as managers are also not technology people.

They shifted their Bangalore office to a place with poor road connectivity.

After shifting to the new office, there was no cafeteria for 8 months.

The food in the cafeteria, which started recently, is expensive, and PayPal provides only 1200 per month for food.
