Terrible experience.

I was taken through 7 total interviews and several calls with my recruiter. The process was interrupted by holidays, but I was told beforehand that I was the lead candidate out of 3 and a decision would be made as soon as everyone returned from the holidays. Of course, I was ghosted after the holidays and had to reach out to my recruiter twice for him to give me an update. In that update, he said a decision was still not made, but they were interviewing more candidates, including an internal one that was likely going to get the job.

He also said that they thought I should take a different Junior position that would require relocation so "I could have more support and help." This is insulting and disrespectful, as I have 6 years of experience in my field and am Mid-Senior level in experience.

The time, work, and stress spent on this position were immense and excessive compared to other hiring processes. I wouldn't have continued if I wasn't made to believe that I was the top candidate, but this company ultimately wasted my time and was very disrespectful.
