Process

Echo what other reviewers have said -- a pretty clear lack of professionalism, and the company does not seem to have its act together.

Interviewed with someone from HR who was very nervous and said it was his first week on the job. He seemed completely unfamiliar with any sort of tech, and I'm not sure why he was a part of the screening process at all. Usually, the non-technical HR folks I've spoken with have some level of understanding of the domain they're recruiting for and the technologies they're looking for.

I found out at the end of the call (completely incidentally) that the job which had been advertised on their site as fully remote was not actually remote at all and was out of their PA office.

Weirdest thing ever was that when I politely told the interviewer that I would not be interested in the job if it was not remote, he still wanted to proceed with the interview, rather aggressively so. Even though I kept on insisting that I was not interested in the position if it was not remote, it was quite difficult to get off the phone with him for whatever reason and to get him to stop going through his interview script.

I re-checked it after the call and, yup, I hadn't misread it; the job was definitely listed as remote, with "Remote positions considered" and "Location: Anywhere" on the job description.

Not sure why they want to waste their own/other people's time by advertising roles incorrectly.
