Process

TL;DR: Don't waste your time giving interviews for PhonePe.

First, they will call you, walk you through the interview process, then they will ghost you for two months (assuming they must have found another candidate).

Then, out of nowhere, they will call you after two months, walk you through the process again, and give you a test link. Once you are done with the test, you can try calling them for a week. They will keep you waiting and tell you after a week that you scored 90 and the cutoff is 100, then reject you.

Then, again, out of nowhere, they will contact you after two to three weeks stating, "We are considering your profile and will continue with your process."

The interview process consists of the following rounds:

  • DSA
  • Platform
  • Machine Coding
  • Hiring Manager

Once you are done with all the rounds, in the end, they will tell you that they cannot consider you because your second round was below average. However, they wanted to waste your time, thus they went ahead with the third and fourth rounds.

Questions

Some questions on tree-like data structures include:

  • Replace every node of an N-ary tree with the sum of all its subtrees.
  • How does a garbage collector work?

In a hiring manager round, they might ask about frequent changes in your resume, especially if there were any, as they were blind during resume shortlisting.
