I applied for an Apprentice Engineer position at Pinterest. After a couple of weeks, I received an email rejecting my application. The email stated that a decision had been made based on a coding challenge, but I never took a coding challenge as it was never sent to me.
I wasn't expecting such unprofessional behavior from a top Silicon Valley company like Pinterest, especially in the midst of a world pandemic when people are getting laid off. They should have the decency to at least reject an application on a valid basis. I am really disappointed.
