A recruiter reached out.
First, there was a coding round. Then, there was a virtual onsite round.
I was interviewing for an intermediate-level position. For the virtual onsite round, all three interviewers who asked me coding questions were at an intermediate level with fewer years of experience than I have. This is a really bad way of hiring by these companies because a rather junior interviewer just sits there without guiding you properly and cannot assess your true experience level.
At the end, I received an email from a different recruiter, whom I hadn't met during the process. They told me, "It was nice to meet you," and delivered the rejection news, stating they regretted they could not provide in-depth feedback. It felt very impersonal for me as a candidate who made it to the last stage of the interview process.
The first round was a medium LeetCode problem, involving dynamic programming.
The virtual onsite consisted of three rounds of coding, one system design round, and one HR manager interview.
