A recruiter at Pinterest reached out to me about an Android developer position on July 7th. We had a call where we went through my work history (8 years of Android in FAANG and others).

On the 14th, I received an email thanking me for the conversation and outlining the rest of the interview process, which was akin to a full FAANG loop (5 hours of interviews). I was asked to pick some times for the interview.

On the 20th, I emailed back with my availability. The next day, I got an email saying they wouldn't be moving forward with the position.

I asked for more information, given that I was just trying to set up the next round. As of July 25th, I haven't received an answer.

I've seen reports of Pinterest having a hiring freeze, so I assume this was the reason.

The hardest question I was asked was when I could take the next round of interviews.
