The interview process began with a coding challenge that gives you 12 hours to complete in one sitting. This challenge can definitely be done in less than 12 hours, but it's nice to not feel rushed to solve the problem.
The second part was a Karat coding challenge, a webcam/CoderPad-style interview. They emphasize that you can get a second chance, but I honestly believe this is due to Karat's policy, not Pinterest's. I would try to ace the interview the first time.
The third stage is an onsite interview. I didn't make it this far, but it consists of four technical interviews back to back.
