The process began with a 15-minute phone screen where the recruiter was friendly and responded quickly.
Next, I had a 1-hour interview with an engineer.
There were technical difficulties with the Google Meets room, and the interviewer was late. He seemed a bit distracted during the interview; I wasn't sure if he was looking at notes or doing something else.
A second 1-hour interview followed with another engineer. I didn't feel I quite hit the bar on the first interview, so this second one was scheduled. This interviewer was more condescending. For example, I chose to use Python for the interview, and he started talking about why he disliked it and why another language was superior. That set the tone for the rest of the interview.
By the end, I didn't feel like Pinterest was the place for me. I just wanted to stop the interview and stop wasting my time talking with him.
