Smooth onboarding experience
My onboarding at Pinterest was very smooth. Basecamp was helpful.
Teammates were helpful. Free lunch and dinner were provided. Free EV charging was available.
People are leaving. The team is lacking a tech lead to make decisions quickly. My onboarding became hard after my onboarding buddy left the company after 1 month. My manager and teammates are too busy with their own tasks to help me ramp up at the same time. We are short of hands, but headcount is hard to get. The high-deductible health insurance is not very good. It is hard to get to know other people since there are not many chances or activities.
