The process started with a one-hour HackerRank test, which many have discussed. It was interesting, and I performed well.
I definitely got both coding questions right. I also believe I answered most of the multiple-choice questions correctly.
I was then invited for an onsite interview to discuss management-related questions. Within a few minutes, I felt the interviewer disliked my background. I'm not surprised, as I lacked domain knowledge in storage. I was likely not what they were looking for.
However, they should have identified this earlier. Why did they have me go through the tests and spend time traveling onsite, only to effectively reject me within minutes?
I believe the people there are either too arrogant or ignorant. While the company operates in an attractive industry, the interviewer completely turned me off.
For the online test, it was interesting but not very challenging, even for managers.
For the "management" interview, the questions were nothing special. The interviewer, however, was quite arrogant.
