Pros: There was a friendly culture, interesting work, and many learning opportunities.

Cons: There is a less flexible home-office policy. The culture and some benefits are dependent on the manager.

Pros: Individuals you work with are generally great. People are very collaborative and flexible. Work-life balance is reasonably good. Even most managers, directors, and VPs in engineering are reasonable people.

Cons: Executive leadership is on a power trip. The CEO has insisted on personally reviewing every request for anyone to have any flexibility for 5 days/week in-office. The CFO has pushed for badge tracking and forcing people in office because they made a bad investment on a ton of space and need to justify the expenditure. Two years ago, the flexibility and seeming care from execs was great, but now they’re one of the worst in the Bay Area in terms of flexibility.
