Digital Hardware Intern Interview Experience - Los Angeles, California

Process

Applied online and received an email notification for an on-campus interview. There were two interviewers: one focused on digital design and the other more on verification. I searched their LinkedIn profiles; they are both engineers with over 15 years of experience.

The first interviewer, the verification specialist, mainly asked me to solve a problem on paper. It was quite basic, requesting that I draw the timing diagram of a memory interface and propose methods for its verification.

The design specialist asked more general questions, such as what kind of courses I liked and how well I understood the general concepts taught in class.

Questions

Suppose the logic of a memory decoder is wrong and there is a stuck-at-1 at some bit. Devise a way to expose it.
