Embedded Software Engineer Interview Experience - San Diego, California

Process

They were very prompt after the initial contact.

They conducted a phone screen, followed by an on-site interview a few weeks later (it was the end of the year).

The phone screen mostly covered my background and asked an easy question to determine the missing number from an array of values 1-50 where one value was 0.

The on-site interview was with seven people, interviewed one at a time, and took all day. Several groups from Qualcomm were represented beyond the one who was initially interested.

Questions mostly covered work history, but there were some technical questions as well.

Questions

One questioner asked how to modify malloc to guarantee that it was 32-byte aligned. I was not prepared for it, though the question itself was not that difficult.
