Interim Engineering Interview Experience - San Diego, California

November 1, 2009
Positive ExperienceGot Offer

Process

The initial phone interview focused on the basics of object-oriented programming, such as linked lists versus arrays.

The second phone interview delved into dynamic memory allocation and how to solve problems that arise from it.

Overall, the interviewers were very polite and allowed ample time for answering questions, even when I stumbled.

They didn't seem to have a clear idea of my placement, so they asked general questions about programming and computer science.

Questions

How can you ensure that you will have adequate memory after you allocate and free many blocks of memory?
