I applied online and also submitted my resume at a career fair.
I received a call for a summer intern position and had two phone interviews.
The first interview was entirely about Verilog basics and verifying a FIFO. The second interview focused on one of my projects and also covered OS basics, such as semaphores and memory management.
I had a really good conversation about the position and the expected work.

Pros: Great work culture.
Amazing intern benefits (housing, relocation, paid trip to San Diego, SF Giants game).
Good work-life balance.
Excellent period for the company growth-wise.
Cons: My original intern project was well-planned, but once my mentor quit, I was reassigned. The project given was hit and miss.

It's a decent company to work for

Pros: The company has an enthusiastic work culture, with innovation at its heart and a wide range of opportunities. It definitely is a good place to start your career and keep grooming yourself in communications technology.
Cons: The cash compensation at Qualcomm is not that lucrative, so if you are high on this factor, then you may feel let down.
However, with all the benefits, which should be taken into consideration by an employee, the overall package is decent by industry standards.
Qualcomm also spent a lot on the interns, with decent cash compensation, many paid activities, A+ housing, travel allowance, and intern weekends. I was literally overwhelmed by the treatment. :)

Pros: The benefits they offered for the internship surpass the average of related industries in Taiwan.
Cons: They didn't separate the onboarding process of full-time employees from that of interns, which caused quite some confusion at the start.
