This interview was for a Storage Windows driver position. The recruiter contacted me through a job posting on a social media website. Two interviews were scheduled back-to-back.
The first round was conducted by the person who is leaving the company (the interview was for his position). He didn't seem interested in the interview at all and asked only a few basic questions. The second round was almost 90 minutes long. He asked many questions related to storage protocols and the internals of NAND devices, which is my area of expertise. I answered almost all questions to his satisfaction.
The first-round interviewer was not engaging and not friendly at all. The second-round interviewer was friendly, but it felt more like a knowledge-sharing session. I had to explain a lot because he was curious to know what happens on the device side.
After the two rounds, HR notified me that I didn't get through the interview.
UFS protocol, device internals, basic C questions
