I'm not sure why I was interviewed mainly on software, whereas most of my skillset is in the hardware side of things.

I haven't heard anything from them after contacting HR a few times. It's good that I didn't receive an offer. I wouldn't want to work in a company where they lack the minimum courtesy to update a candidate.
