Process

The interview process began with a phone screen.

This was followed by four on-site, one-on-one interviews.

The phone screen involved one online algorithm problem.

For the on-site portion, there was one difficult problem (taken from LeetCode) and the rest were average.

I felt I performed decently. However, half the team didn't seem all that interested. Two out of the four interviewers were working or distracted with other tasks on their machines. While they were friendly, they just didn't seem all that engaged from the outset, almost as if my presence for the interviews was an inconvenience. The other two interviewers did seem somewhat interested, or at least made an effort to appear so, to varying degrees.

I was initially told they take two weeks to reach a final decision.

This turned out to be untrue. It has been well over two weeks, and I've received no further communication.

I never received a final response, even after repeatedly emailing and calling. While they were responsive and friendly throughout the initial stages of the process, it seems they drop the ball afterward, showing no further interest unless a definitive offer is being extended.

I'm unsure what this reflects about the company; it could indicate disorganization with significant bureaucracy, or simply that people are just showing up to collect a paycheck (which is understandable, but not beneficial for potential new employees).

Overall, it was a waste of time and a disappointing experience.

They did cover hotel and other expenses, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired, in all honesty.

The campus is large, and the majority of employees appear to be from India, though other Asian and white individuals are also present. Teams also seem to collaborate with their Indian counterparts, presumably for cost savings.

As a mixed-race individual, I wonder if I wasn't considered a cultural fit.

Essentially, I would only recommend applying if you are desperate and seeking any opportunity.
