The interview experience at Qualcomm was very good. I attended the interview for the position of Embedded SW Application Developer. My experience and expertise lie in C/RTOS/Data Structures within the telecom domain.

Telephonic Interview:
- All about your CV
- Lots of questions on projects and how they work
- OS concepts and real examples
- Deadlock situations (detection, prevention)
- SW watchdog timers
- OS schedulers and algorithms
- Error handling in the system
- Core dumps, etc.
- Memory management concepts
- IPC communications
- Mutex/critical section/semaphores

Pros: It's good to be in the software side if you are from an ESD background; it's a step up.
Generally, it's a conducive environment for learning but restricted to hardware components.
Cons: Too much involvement with hardware components and tools that does not contribute to your technical skills.
The driver development framework is time-consuming and unintuitive.
Career development is slow.
