Cons: You need to be lucky to get into a good team. As usual, your manager will make or break your career. The management vertical is not at all lean. People at the same position are reporting to each other. Things move slowly, as expected in a big tech company. Slow promotions. Low-level promotions are not performance-based at all. Non-existent HR system. Bureaucracy. Qualcomm hired people like it was the last day on Earth. In the name of diversity and inclusion, Qualcomm degraded its interview and hiring standards. Good talent has already left. Whatever is remaining, the old-school (the old guard) management is making sure they leave as well. Most people are workaholics and expect you to be one as well. Working extended hours is so normal that if you complain about it, you will be laughed at. You will be told how you are wrong for not working 12 hours a day.
