Process

Four technical panels conducted interviews simultaneously. They had a list of topics to test during the interviews. Each panel consisted of two polite and friendly members. My interview lasted for an hour.

  • They asked about all the projects and internships I had mentioned in my resume in great detail.
  • Then they moved on to OOP. They asked me to implement polymorphism using an example, discuss types of inheritance, and explain the types of constructors in C++.

Questions

Operating Systems – Difference between process and thread, semaphores.

They asked me why semaphores are used and why we cannot use a simple integer flag to stop any process from accessing shared resources.
