Benefits (good insurance, annual stock and cash awards);
Remote work is accessible;
Generally collaborative, easy to work with most;
Cons: Work-life balance is atrocious.
Expected availability on vacation.
Long hours; reporting OT discouraged.
Code base is beyond messy and convoluted.
Traffic in SoCal... if you do get to leave at a reasonable hour, you'll still spend ~10-30 minutes per highway mile to get home.

Pros: You get to work on bleeding-edge technology. Work hours are flexible.
Cons: Promotions are given based on how long you serve at the company, not how hard you work or how many years of total experience you have. Career growth is extremely slow if you are not in the modem software development team.
