Software Engineer Interview Experience - Toronto, Ontario

Process

The interview process involved an initial 30-minute phone call for basic Q&A. This was followed by a one-hour Microsoft Teams/CoderPad programming interview in C++. A second, longer programming interview in the same format was then conducted.

I performed well in the first programming interview, solving all problems within the time limit, but was not selected for the second round.

The team was great to interview with, and they were accommodating and helpful throughout the process. HR's communication was a bit disorganized, but I attribute that mostly to COVID.

Questions

Coderpad session: Interview was basically fixing bugs in a stack-based exploration algorithm implemented in C++.
