Leadership has a terrible time making decisions. Our CEO changes his mind on a daily basis and is proud of the fact that he's never had any leadership training (it shows). Execs are also extremely out of touch and have lost any focus on employees, which used to be the source of our great culture.
Listen, really listen, to employees about their experiences working here. Don't just listen to the same people you surround yourself with who tell you what you want to hear. Keep leaders accountable for treating employees well and being good managers. You lead by example and set the tone from the top, so not much will change if you don't.
