Pros

Decent colleagues, depending on the team. Awesome location (San Diego).

Cons

The recent layoffs were very poorly handled. Good performers were let go, while all the deadwood continue to remain.

Poor compensation compared to the industry. Poor health benefits from next year. Promotion dependent on the number of years spent rather than performance.

In summary, come to Qualcomm only if you have no other alternative.

Advice to Management

The best way to proceed would be to lay off all the upper management rather than the engineers.
