Not much to say. It was good for benefit.
The Director of the Network team manages the network team with his Asian style, basically treating himself as the "god of the team". If you don't make him happy, no matter how good you are, you are a second-class citizen of the team. He will prompt you just because he doesn't want you to escalate to HR. He has a smiling face when he talks to his bosses. To us, he never ever shows any real respect.
Many good engineers left the team, not because of the money, but because of his management. He gets prompted again? What a joke!!! He does a good job to "clean" the team and make most of the people there "worship" him only.

Multiple people will interview you one-on-one. It is a grilling procedure, and then they decide the outcome. Only if you are good will you get in.
