Software Engineer (Internship) Interview Experience

Process

I applied online and got an interview with one of their developers. It was a screen-sharing coding round.

First 10 minutes, he asked me questions related to my resume and my projects.

Then there were questions related to arrays, lists, linked lists, binary trees, and hash tables. They were fairly easy.

After this, there were two coding questions, which I coded very well. The interviewer was very happy, but I don't know how I got rejected.

Anyway, the overall experience was very good.

Questions

  1. Advantages and disadvantages of arrays, linked lists, binary trees, and hash tables.

  2. Code to check whether a string is a scrambled palindrome or not.

  3. Write a function where the input is in the form of "B1" and the function must return the corresponding row and column of an Excel sheet.
