I went through three rounds of interviews: an easy coding test, a technical interview with two nice interviewers, and another round with two different individuals.
The final round was decent, with one amiable interviewer. However, the other interviewer, possibly from Nepal, India, or Vietnam, had an accent that was profoundly difficult to understand. It was so thick and indistinct that I couldn’t catch a single word he said, which was quite terrifying. Thankfully, his colleague transcribed his questions in the chat, which was a lifesaver.
Overall, it was a frustrating experience. In an English-speaking work environment, clear communication is essential, and such strong accents can be a significant barrier.
