Pros

Rakuten is a good company for entry and junior-level engineers, or if you want to expand your skills. For example, if you only know frontend development but want to learn about backend, you might have opportunities in the company as they have tons of divisions.

Cons

Technology they use might be obsolete (depends on the division).

Also, from my experience, they don't value UI/UX as much as they should. Once the final design is delivered and made into an app, your job as a Frontend engineer is done, and they will ask you to jump to another division.

It doesn't seem like they have a concept of improving UI/UX, which I personally value.
