Pros

Good facilities in terms of food and insurance. I won't comment on parking because it's not okay. Sanitation is also good.

Cons

For some teams, Japan management will tell you when to breathe, when to stand, and where to walk. India management (leadership), however, are spectators. Even after knowing the problems, they ignore them.

CEOs meet teams once a year and give high-level lectures which make no sense. Employees can't connect with them because they are irrelevant.

For some teams, there is no future for engineers or even managers. The same work is repeated again and again over years with no growth.

Japan teams will think you are a paid servant, and India leadership will treat you like a stepmother. You feel like a refugee.

Advice to Management

Advice to leadership:

If teams are micromanaged by Japan, then please don't get involved with them for anything big or small. Teams have to follow Japan management and then India management views, which are irrelevant.

Either you change the overall process, or say clearly that these teams are not under Rakuten India. It feels frustrating to work here.
