This was the most bizarre, worst experience in a first-round tech screen I've ever had. I was reached out to by the recruiter on LinkedIn.
I had previously heard that the engineering team doesn't have a lot of women from one of my friends. I asked the recruiter if there were any women's groups in engineering or at the company.
She replied, "We don't believe in diversity. It's not a priority for us." followed by, "But I think it's really awesome you're a woman in engineering."
I was qualified for the role and instantly got a rejection after that.
If you are a woman or POC, I would avoid.
