Pros
  • Chilled-out environment, easy tasks, so no challenges.
  • Future prospects for the business.
Cons
  • Zero challenging work.
  • Copying Stripe's idea and running on success.
  • Less pay, negligible stocks given.
  • A 13-inch MacBook given, why?
  • Average colleagues (depends on the team, actually).
  • Bad infrastructure, bad tech stack chosen for services (PHP).
  • Teammates always complaining for new, meaningful work, when there is the same repetitive work.
  • Culture is not engineering-driven; it is driven by PMs and only rapid feature development.
  • Little to no learning for an experienced developer.
  • Over-hiring and high attrition (team-dependent).
  • Code quality and stuff are really bad.
Advice to Management

Please make the culture engineer-driven, improve code quality, and developer experience.
