My interview experience with Redfin was very positive from start to finish. Everyone I interacted with—from first contact, phone interviews, onsite interviews, and follow-up—was friendly and organized. Communication was great all-around.

It was a fairly rigorous process but never felt ridiculous. Questions and exercises were well-defined and never felt contrived.

I had prepared quite a bit for technical interviewing and felt that Redfin's process was moderately difficult but focused on practical skills and competencies, not algo/DS trivia-type questions.

A 2-3 hour take-home coding assignment, later reviewed during onsite.
